- I am trying to finalize my on-line
application on a deadline date, and I am having technical
difficulties relating to the site. What can I do?
- Please review the steps detailed
here.
- I am having a problem seeing instruction
windows and I cannot add new information to some of the screens
(i.e. residence information, employment information, responses to
affirmatively answered questions, etc.). Why is this?
- There are two likely reasons for this
behavior. The first reason could be your browser. Make
sure you are using Internet Explorer to complete your application
on-line. Other browsers such as Safari, Netscape and Firefox
are noted to be incompatible.
The second reason is most likely related to a pop-up blocker. You should make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled BEFORE
working on your on-line application. Some helpful tips on
how to disable the more popular pop-up blockers can be found
here.
- Do I have to wait until I submit my
application to have a printed copy of my work?
- No, you do not have to wait until the final
stages of filing your application on-line to print a copy of your
application. You can print a copy of your application at any
time, by selecting it from the "Print Forms" menu at the top of
the screen. It will show all completed information. It
is best to print your application BEFORE you click the submit link
as this will reduce any likelihood of errors with printing the
application once you have clicked "submit". Once your
application is submitted, you may no longer print a copy of your
application.
- The web site seems extremely slow.
What could be causing this?
- On-line filing is done through the court's
web portal. This portal is most active between the hours of
8:00 a.m. EST and 5:00 p.m. EST. During these hours, you may
find that your on-line filing experience responds very slowly due
to this increased activity. Also, as bar examination
application deadlines approach (see
Fee Schedule for
a list of deadlines), the volume of applicants applying on-line
increases dramatically. This also can attribute to a slower
response time for your on-line application session. It is
therefore recommended that you try to work on your application in
off peak hours (between 6:00 p.m. EST and 7:00 a.m. EST), and that
you try to complete your on-line filing at least 1-2 weeks before
a deadline.
- This is my first application. How
do I edit information previously entered on my application?
- Follow the steps detailed
here to edit previously entered
information.
- I am a Reapplicant. How do I edit
information previously entered on my application?
- Reapplicants from previous bar examinations
can edit any NEW information added to their current applications
following the same steps detailed
here. If you wish to edit information that you included
on a previous application however, you must submit those changes
on an amendment form found
here.
-
I forgot my
user logon account information (email address, password, or
PIN) for logging onto the site. What can I do?
- If time permits, you can contact the help
desk at: help@pabarexam.org
However, if it is near a deadline, you can simply create a new
logon account to get onto the secure server. To do this, all
you need to have is an alternate email address from the one you
initially used when setting up your account. You can get a
free email account if necessary from any of the free email
providers on the Internet (i.e. Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo, AOL, etc).
This account logon is NOT tied to your personal information
that you type into the application.
- I am getting an "Access Denied" message
when I enter the site. What can I do?
- Send an email to our help desk at
help@pabarexam.org.
You can also try clearing your browsers cache by following these
instructions:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/howto/customizing/clearcache.mspx
