On December 27, 2023, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued an Order lowering the minimum score required for purposes of Pennsylvania bar admission for successful completion of the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) and for UBE score transfers from 272 to 270. The Court applied this change prospectively, beginning with the February 2024 bar exam administration.
For applications that rely upon scores from administrations of the UBE in any jurisdiction prior to the February 2024 administration, the minimum score for purposes of Pennsylvania bar admission remains 272. You will find a copy of the Court’s Order here.
