Supplemental Application for Character and Fitness Determination
Applicants are required to submit a Supplemental Application for Character
and Fitness Determination in certain circumstances, including, but not limited to, the following:

When an applicant has failed to file the required documents for admission
to the bar or for issuance of a limited license to practice law with the Prothonotary
within 6 months of the date of the issuance of a Certificate recommending the applicant’s
admission to the bar or the issuance of a limited license to practice law;

When an applicant who was successful on the bar examination was not issued a
Certificate Recommending Admission to the Bar for failure to meet other requirements
of the rule governing admission to the bar, or for failure to provide required character
and fitness documentation and 6 months have passed from the date on which the applicant’s
bar examination results were issued;

When an applicant seeking to be admitted to the bar on motion without examination
or to be issued a limited license to practice law has not provided the required
documentation for admission and more than 6 months have passed without any activity
by the applicant on the application;

When an applicant has been denied a Certificate Recommending Admission to
the Bar and is seeking a subsequent hearing before the Board.
